About Shelly

Originally from England, Shelly (Michelle) Northern has made Miami home and Real Estate her passion, for the last 20 years. After graduating in the top five percent of her class with a BSc (honors) in Psychology, Shelly lived in Spain, France, and Barbados working in the hotel industry before Miami became home.

Prior to working for eXp Luxury, Shelly worked with Sotheby's, Compass and was also the Broker/Owner of her own brokerage firm in Coral Gables. In it's first year of operation, Shelly's brokerage  was a finalist in the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce for Business of the Year .

More recently, she was the co-presenter and featured on Sky TV’s “Million Dollar Dream Homes,” where she showcased Miami’s finest luxury properties across Europe. She has also been featured on the cover of Brickell Magazine. As a real estate broker with 20 years experience, Shelly has handled many different kinds of residential and commercial real estate. She is one of few realtors to successfully orchestrate and close, a multi-family assembly sale on Miami Beach with 17 individual owners in order to sell the whole building and enable a change of use to a condo-hotel. She has sold equestrian communities to international investors, high end properties to actors and fashion designers and excels in representing out of state and international clients. Her experience has led to a diverse client base both nationally and internationally and she is trusted by clients and colleagues alike, many realtors have even listed their own homes with her!

In her spare time, Shelly is passionate about cancer advocacy and mentoring patients as a stage 3 cancer survivor herself. In her remaining free time, painting, drawing and travel take center stage, especially visiting lesser known islands! She has also helped save hundreds of death row dogs by creating a system to find them homes out of state. A lifelong student, she has studied Mandarin for three years,
